Several mini-splits at home? Plan the cleaning room by room

When a home has several mini-splits, the easiest unit to remember is usually the one you see every day. The guest bedroom, office or finished garage can disappear from the mental checklist.

A room-by-room plan makes it easier to understand the cost, describe the job and arrange access. It also helps you avoid treating several separate indoor units as one vague “system cleaning.”

Count the indoor units

For Mini Detailer’s pricing, one unit means one indoor wall-mounted unit. Count each indoor unit you want considered, regardless of how the outdoor equipment is arranged. Do not count remote controls or outdoor compressors as cleaning units.

Make a short list with the room, approximate access height and any restriction. If one room contains a ceiling cassette or concealed system, identify it separately. Those installations fall outside the standard wall-mounted starting scope and require review.

Keep condition separate from room count

A count tells us the potential size of the job. It does not establish that every unit has the same cleaning need or operating condition. Add the last known service date and any concern for each room rather than assuming that what is true in the living room is true upstairs.

Understand the same-property price

Mini Detailer’s published per-unit price decreases with the number of indoor units cleaned at the same property. One starts at $350. Three are $330 each, for a $990 service subtotal. Five are $305 each, totaling $1,525. Ten or more are $250 each.

At ten units, that is a $2,500 subtotal, compared with $3,500 if calculated at the single-unit rate. It is a comparison within our price schedule, not a claim about competitors. Any applicable tax and approved extra work are confirmed before booking.

For more than one address, send the property details for review rather than assuming counts can be combined. The published volume schedule is specifically for units at the same property.

Give the job a realistic time allowance

The planning estimate is about 45 minutes of cleaning per unit. Four units represent around three hours; six represent four and a half hours; ten represent seven and a half hours of cleaning.

Those totals exclude travel and breaks and are not guaranteed visit lengths. Access, condition and the final scope can affect the plan. A large job may need multiple visits, so do not assume it fits into a short guest-turnover window.

Decide who coordinates the rooms

If several people use the house, choose one contact for the scheduling discussion. Share restrictions such as an occupied home office, a locked room or a time when the property is unavailable. This is practical coordination, not a requirement to leave the whole house empty.

For a rental or seasonal home, identify who can provide agreed access once a date is confirmed. Sensitive entry details do not need to be included in the initial website request.
